Campaign Resources
Retinues recover Relics during scenarios, Looting, and Survival Rolls.
Sell Relics for Crowns during the Economy step. Spend Crowns to recruit fighters, buy gear, and maintain the retinue.
What Are Relics?
Relics are the primary campaign resource.
They represent powerful ancient objects scattered across the cursed land. Retinues search ruins, battlefields, shrines, and settlements to recover them.
Recovered Relics are campaign treasures, not the roster Icon (Sphere of Influence gear) in Equipment — Sphere of Influence.
Selling Relics
Relics are sold for Crowns using a supply and demand curve — selling more at once yields diminishing returns per Relic.

Example: Counting the Cost
A Hunters retinue wins a battle in an Abandoned Village. Two fighters Escaped with recovered Relics, one Hand ended the battle Out of Action, and the Captain took an enemy Leader Out of Action during the final round.
The scenario gives the retinue 2 Relics. Because they won in an Abandoned Village, they also make one Survival Roll on the Abandoned Village table. They roll 9 — Village Hoard: 1 Relic and 15 Crowns.
The Hand rolls on the Casualty Table and gets 3, Scarred. The player returns the fighter to the roster and chooses Ranged Combat −1.
During the Economy step, the retinue sells all 3 Relics for 40 Crowns, then adds the 15 Crowns from the Survival Roll. They spend some of it on replacement gear and update Roster Cost.
Finally, the player awards Experience. In the battle pass, each fighter who did not go Out of Action gains +1. The Captain gains +2 for putting the enemy Leader Out of Action by a direct action. The Hand went Out of Action and does not gain +1 for staying active. The scenario did not list additional Experience this battle. Fighters with enough Experience may buy an advancement roll, or save it for a later battle.
Shadow Market
Some items require a Shadow Market roll to purchase during the Economy step. Make one roll per post-game when your retinue attempts to buy any Shadow Market item. The result governs how many units you may purchase that post-game. Standard listed prices apply unless the result says otherwise.
Apply the Reward Roll Rule — natural double 1 is a Mishap, natural double 6 is the Bonus result.
